Behçet’s UK Helpline

Our volunteers, staff, and trustees are not qualified to offer any medical advice. We have a medical panel who can answer limited, (non-urgent) questions, and our factsheets, which are written by medical professionals, offer reliable medical advice.

Your phone provider may charge up to 16p per minute to call us from a landline, which is the same cost as calling a UK landline number starting 01 or 02. You may get free calls to 0345 numbers as part of your call package – please check with your phone provider.

The Behçet’s UK helpline is available between 9.00 am and 9.00 pm 7 days a week.
The helpline is run by volunteers from their own homes. At times, calls may go to voicemail, so please leave a message and we will return your call as soon as possible.
If you would like us to call you back please request this when your call is answered or alternatively, please complete the callback form below.

Our helpline volunteers are knowledgeable about Behçet’s and offer a listening ear to anyone affected. They also provide guidance and signposting. Please note that we do not handle emergencies and cannot give direct medical advice. In case of an emergency, call 999.

We are a separate organisation from the NHS England Behçet’s Centres of Excellence. If you are a patient at one of the NHS England Behçet’s Centres of Excellence and require medical guidance from your clinic, you will need to contact your centre directly. Contact the Behçet’s Centres of Excellence.
